This label aims to support the development of regular sports participation in higher education and to reinforce its objectives of inclusion, health, respect, and civic engagement in the run-up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024.

KEDGE wanted to be part of the momentum surrounding the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and to play an active role in the global and inclusive advancement of a sporting and competitive nation on the international stage. Obtaining this label is also part of the work to develop the sports department, which the School began two years ago. The sports department offers nearly 35 physical and sporting activities each week to more than 8,000 students.

Over the next three years, KEDGE is committed to achieving four objectives:

  • develop links between the institution and its sporting associations,
  • participate in Olympic and Paralympic research and promotional events,
  • support or host high-level athletes (SHN),
  • make sports equipment available to local sports associations and businesses.

In addition to recognizing the work carried out by the School with students and staff, this label will enable the development of new multi-year projects addressing the social, political, and economic challenges of sport.

The “Generation 2024” label was launched in September 2018 on International University Sports Day by Ms. Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, and Ms. Roxana Maracineanu, Minister of Sports. After meeting the specifications set by these two ministries, 65 institutions now hold the label for a period of three academic years.
