                            SJTU-KEDGE Global MBA Opening & Graduation Ceremony was successfully held in Shanghai
                            On July 2nd, 2023, the Opening &Graduation Ceremony of SJTU-KEDGE Global MBA programme was held on the Xuhui Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai. 
                            
                                                
                                                    Over 100 guests, including representatives of the French Consulate General in Shanghai, officials from both schools, graduates of the Global MBA Class of 2020, new participants in the Global MBA Class of 2022, and their families, attended the ceremony.

Mr. David KIBLER, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of France in Shanghai, attended the ceremony to convey his sincere congratulations to the graduates and new participants. In his speech, he underlined the importance that the Consulate General of France in Shanghai attaches to the Sino-French cooperation program, and recognized KEDGE Business School's leading position among all business schools in France. He also praised the outstanding contribution of the Global MBA program, run jointly by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and KEDGE Business School, to developing top management talent and promoting Sino-French business and cultural exchanges.
 
  
CHEN Ke, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Division at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, began by congratulating all the graduates and new participants. He said that Shanghai Jiao Tong University has always adopted an open and cooperative attitude towards international education, and has created a number of successful and exemplary Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, of which French higher education institutions are one of the most important partners.
 
  
Alexandre de NAVAILLES, Managing Director of KEDGE Business School, delivered his speech via video. He greeted the guests, expressed his warm congratulations to the Global MBA Intake 2020 graduates on their success, and extended his best wishes to the Global MBA Intake 2022 participants. He also expressed his gratitude to the management of SJTU-ICCI, the Chinese partner institution of the program, to the Director of the MBA program and to KEDGE's Director of Shanghai Operations. He called on all graduates, new participants and alumni to become KEDGE ambassadors, to be proud of their identity as KEDGE GMBAers and to share their exceptional MBA learning experience with family, friends and colleagues.
 
  
Professor ZHANG Weimin, Dean of SJTU's Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry, began by expressing his sincere expectations of all graduates and new participants. As he pointed out, the Global MBA program is more than just an experience in the lives of participants; =it serves as a foundation for a broader career plan. He is firmly convinced that, thanks to the collaborative efforts of SJTU and KEDGE, as well as the ever flourishing friendship between China and France, the Global MBA program will progress and reach an even higher level of excellence.
 
  
Hervé REMAUD, Director of the MBA program at KEDGE Business School, announced two major pieces of news after expressing his congratulations to the GMBA students and his gratitude to the collaborators of the Chinese and French institutions. Firstly, KEDGE obtained the renewal of its AMBA accreditation for a maximum period of 5 years for its Global Executive MBA in November last year. In addition, the program confirmed its leading position among the top 10 in China, according to the Global Executive MBA ranking published by the Financial Times.
 
  
On behalf of the program's alumni, Ms. Tina Zhu (Global MBA 2015 Intake, COO/Deputy General Manager, E-Home [Joint Venture of OPG & Microsoft], Entertainment Development Company Ltd, President of KEDGE Entrepreneurship Club) delivered a powerful speech. She underlined the lasting and positive impact of the Global MBA program on her life and career, in particular thanks to the various alumni events that have greatly contributed to her professional development. As an alumna, Ms. Tina Zhu insisted that gender should not be a constraint on personal development, but rather a driving force enabling women to achieve remarkable feats and break the glass ceiling. She called for everyone's attention and dedication to creating a more egalitarian, inclusive and diverse working environment.

Representing the Global MBA 2020 Intake, Ms Lily Dong (Senior Marketing Director, APAC, Centric Software) thanked KEDGE, SJTU, all Global MBA 2020 Intake classmates, families and friends for their support over the past two years. Looking back over the two years of study, the Global MBA 2020 Intake participants overcame many obstacles during the epidemic and successfully completed their studies. Today, she is more determined and confident than ever.
