KEDGE Alumni Took Part in the “Tarpin de Talents” Day
Tarpin de Talents – Come meet people with inspiring journeys!
On May 25th, the “Tarpin de Talents” day took place in Marseille. The event offered workshops, games, and moments of exchange to help young people better understand themselves and develop their potential. The day was open to youth from all the participating associations, as well as to all young people from the PACA region. More than 70 participants attended.
Workshops included:
-
Failures, Bounce-Backs & Success: Through a ball game, this workshop encouraged participants to reflect on the concept of failure, the emotions it triggers, how to overcome it, and how failure can be a stepping stone to success.
-
Equal to Equal: Building Gender Equality: This workshop aimed to get young people thinking about the roles of women and men in society, and how our aspirations and career paths are influenced by gender. Topics included gender equality, stereotypes, and mixed-gender collaboration.
-
Impossible Dream? Why Not! Dare to Dream and Change the World: Using photo-language and mind mapping, this workshop helped participants identify their unspoken aspirations, explore visible and invisible barriers, and shift their perspective on what’s possible through a dynamic debate.
-
Ikigai: A Tool to Find Your Path: Based on the Ikigai method, this workshop helped participants explore what they love, what motivates them, and what they’re good at—giving them the tools to positively define themselves and ask the right questions to guide their future.
-
Public Speaking: This workshop used fun activities (rhetoric, slam, elevator pitch…) to help participants develop their public speaking skills, self-confidence, and creativity.
Two Kedgers were present at the event:
-
Ludovic Edmond: At 33, Ludovic has a unique background and a deep love for sports and football. He turned his passion into a career. A graduate of KEDGE Business School Marseille in 2018 with a Master’s in “Sport Event Marketing and Management,” he recently continued his training at the School for Sports Agents. He’s currently training as a football recruiter with the FRFP. His experience gives him expertise in sports marketing, management, and law, along with a strong sports culture. Three words to describe him: persistent, passionate, and adventurous.
-
Devaky Sivadasan: Originally from Kerala in southern India, Devaky fled her home country in 2000 with her young son to settle in France. When she arrived in Marseille, she didn’t speak a word of French. After 10 years at Airbus Helicopters, she founded Mama Spice, a business selling blends of Provençal and Indian spices. She creates her blends based on her personal story and childhood memories—what she calls her “magic.” That magic continues through the creativity of those who cook with her spices. Devaky insists on using spices sourced directly from Kerala, supporting women there through fair trade practices. For her French blends, she uses ingredients grown exclusively in Provence using organic farming methods. Her philosophy: “Every hardship, every difficulty leads to something better.”
