Pierre-Yves Escarpit, Deputy CEO in charge of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Cdiscount, James Rebours, Director of Development and Supply Chain, and Rémi Naudion, Director of Supply Chain Transport, addressed new students on the program at the Bordeaux campus during the sponsorship ceremony on Monday, September 28, 2020.

Created in 1984, ISLI enables students to develop skills in logistics and global supply chain management. Its international reputation is based in particular on the recognition of the profession, its research team, and its experiential teaching methods. For the first time since its creation, this year's new class of students in this program of excellence will benefit from a sponsor of choice throughout the duration of the course.

“I am delighted to launch the first sponsorship of MS ISLI students alongside Cdiscount. In these turbulent times, being able to benefit from the support of a sponsor such as Cdiscount is a real opportunity for our students. The company will be their guide as they embark on their professional careers,” says Marie-Laure Furgala, Director of MS ISLI.

As part of this sponsorship, several Cdiscount members, some of whom are graduates, spoke with the program's new class of students. Pierre-Yves Escarpit, James Rebours, and Rémi Naudion, accompanied by various company executives, detailed their career paths and shared with students the successes and challenges they have encountered in their careers. They spoke about the challenges of the supply chain and the values of the employer brand. The ISLI alumni discussed their career paths and described the jobs that future graduates will be able to access at Cdiscount.

All of them will speak again at the graduation ceremony in June 2022.

As a long-standing partner of KEDGE, Cdiscount actively supports student employability.

Since 2018, more than 170 interns have carried out assignments in purchasing, supply chain, marketing, digital communication, media, management control, and auditing at Cdiscount. Each year, around ten work-study students are recruited, particularly students from the Grande Ecole Program and the ISLI and MAI specialized master's programs in International Purchasing Management & Innovation. Currently, 45 KEDGE alumni are working at Cdiscount, including more than 10 in supply chain roles.

Beyond Cdiscount's commitment to student employability, the company is also involved with KEDGE in promoting equal opportunities within the School through the HandiKap program. KEDGE has set up a network of stakeholders and resource persons to facilitate the integration, educational support, and professional integration of its students with disabilities. Cdiscount provides financial support for the program through a donation to the school and participates in events such as Handi'Kampus Day (a day of awareness and dialogue on the subject of disability) and working meetings on the co-construction of actions to promote access to campuses and programs for students with disabilities.
