In the heart of Marseille, in the Noailles district, lies Maison des Nines, a mixed-use, inclusive space where visitors can adopt a different, more sustainable and local approach to consumption. The venue combines a café-canteen, a shop, and an events space, and aims to bring together local residents and businesses.
This project came about when three female entrepreneurs who wanted to open a space accessible to all met.
Estelle Billet, a former graduate of KEDGE BUSINESS SCHOOL, was supported by the school's Business Nursery in the creation of her first project: opening pop-up shops. KEDGE BUSINESS SCHOOL and the Business Nursery are committed to promoting female entrepreneurship through the SISTA charter. Today, 50% of our incubated graduates are women. Estelle Billet is one of the young entrepreneurs we have supported and continue to support. The desire to build something permanent, and her meeting with Claire Lombard, gave rise to this project: to create a restaurant and a shop in the same place. Annaelle N'Kaoua, the third founder, brought her event planning expertise to the table, which led to the birth of the Maison des Nines concept.
La maison des Nines is a concept comprising four “living spaces”:
- a kitchen where you can enjoy a good coffee at any time of day. The kitchen offers dishes to eat in or take away, made using local, seasonal produce. You can enjoy simple, tasty, affordable dishes that taste just like home cooking.
- A bathroom where you can find the perfume that's right for you, discovering unique French brands.
- A dressing room where you can discover young French ready-to-wear brands that care about their production methods. You will also find jewelry by Marseille designers.
- A dining room where you can share warm and friendly moments, participate in community workshops for young and old, and attend conferences.
- A project incubated at the KEDGE Business Nursery in Marseille
This unique venue, incubated at the Kedge Business School Business Nursery and supported by the City of Marseille, the Metropolis, and the BPI, will open in spring 2021. This social and solidarity project will work in partnership with associations such as Destination Familles, Le Bouillon de Noailles, and Le Carillon. The aim is to offer a new place to live and a new hangout for the people of Marseille. So don't miss the opening of this unusual venue in the heart of Marseille.
