KEDGE Alumni has numerous branches around the world, enabling local alumni to meet, network, share experiences and have a great time.

Today, we invite you to discover the portrait of the dynamic organizer of our Lisbon branch.

💬 GWENAËLLE LANNUZEL (KEDGE BACHELOR 2001) - LISBONNE

Today, you live in Lisbon. What do you like about this country, and this city in particular? What makes it different from France?

Absolutely, I've been living in Lisbon for just over 4 years and I'm very happy here. Portugal is a welcoming and benevolent country, and I love the variety of its different regions, such as the Algarve, which is coastal and touristy, or the Alentejo, which is wilder and more rural. I've fallen in love with the kindness of the Portuguese, with the people who smile at you in the street and say hello, and with the prevailing respect between people.

I find here a gentle way of life and an incomparable serenity 🌷.

Portugal is a very safe country, which is a very attractive point. As for Lisbon, I feel at home here. It's a human-sized capital, neither too big nor too small. It's beautiful, lively, colorful... and you can breathe! What's more, we're close to the sea, which is a real privilege, and brings exceptional light and energy 🌊.

Tell us a little about your career path: what position do you currently hold? What was your educational and professional background to get to this point?

I'm currently an independent entrepreneur in several fields: as areal estate agent for Safti Portugal and development partner in Portugal for Forever Living Products, world leader in aloe vera products 🌿 ... and I'm also a Reiki Master ☯.

I am a graduate of the KEDGE Bachelor program in Bordeaux, class 2001. For the next 15 years, I trained on the job in Paris in B to B sales. I then expatriated to Morocco, where I managed a number of tourist establishments (restaurants and hotels), before crossing paths with Portugal and deciding to move there for my 40th birthday. I'm open to life changes and new opportunities, hence my current professional activities. I think it's good not to get stuck in one job or field, but to let life surprise you.

You are now in charge of the local KEDGE Alumni branch. What motivated you to apply as a volunteer?

This position is one of life's serendipities, even if they say there aren't any 😊.
After a post on the Portugal Linkedin group, proposing a meeting with other Kedgers possibly present in Lisbon, I was contacted by Morgane SAMUEL, in charge of the KEDGE Alumni network antennas. She suggested I open a branch, and of course I said yes 🙌 !
I love sharing and meeting people, so becoming an antenna host was an obvious choice for me.

What is your fondest memory as an on-air presenter, or the event that made the biggest impression on you?
The station is very young and at the beginning of its history, so it's already great to see that there are more of us at every afterwork. I was particularly proud to welcome, to my surprise because they hadn't signed up, a group of Portuguese students who had spent 6 months on exchange at KEDGE in France and had heard about our second afterwork.

We had a lovely evening full of exchanging experiences ✨.

What are your ambitions and projects for this branch?
Well, of course, I want the antenna to grow and grow! That the Alumni are aware of its existence and get in touch with me.
The lovely project I'm really working on for the Lisbon branch is a meeting between Lusophone alumni organized on Thursday May 18, 2023 at the French Embassy in Lisbon, along with other top French schools. A great opportunity to get the word out!

What message would you like to send to graduates and students visiting or living in Lisbon?
For those passing through: Bem vindo!
And to all: Contact me! Follow me on social networks to keep abreast of upcoming events!
Muito obrigada, Até breve!
