🤝 A brand committed to an ethical vision

Violaine Beh, a French-Senegalese designer and graduate of KEDGE Business School, founded Atelier 22B, a design studio and company with a mission. Her aim: to promote local talent while fostering an ethical, transparent and fair production chain.

Atelier 22B offers unique creations inspired by African heritage and manufactured in a circular economy. Each piece combines contemporary elegance and social impact, embodying a new vision of responsible design.

🎓An inspiring career path for an ambitious project

After graduating from KEDGE Bordeaux with a PGE degree in 2013 and gaining experience in international groups such as KPMG and LVMH, Violaine decided to reconcile her personal values with her career.
Incubated at KEDGE's Bridge Africa, she has designed a first collection that reflects her ambition: to shake up design codes while responding to social and environmental issues.

The pragmatism of my Business School training enabled me to prove myself in major groups and, today, to develop my creativity serenely, backed by robust management methods.

Back in 2010, I was also in the infancy of subjects such as CSR, which had a profound impact on me.

🙏 Social impact and inclusion at the heart of the project

  • Training and integration: Ceramic pieces are made by young hearing-impaired people trained by the Colombins association in Dakar.
  • Support for craftswomen: Our Senegalese employees benefit from a mutual health insurance scheme, a vital support in a country where access to healthcare remains limited.
  • Recycled materials: Furniture made from 100% recycled plastic is produced through local partnerships, reducing ecological impact while recycling waste.

Pieces from Atelier 22B's two annual collections set the pace for creativity and explore new imaginations. Atelier 22B also stands out for its expertise in bespoke design for professionals. In particular, the studio works with establishments open to the public to design unique, personalized pieces.

🚀 A promising future

Atelier 22B aims to expand its range of recycled plastic furniture and reach an ever-wider public. Violaine Beh continues to place innovation, ethics and inclusion at the heart of her development.

✨ Meet her creations at the pop-up at 4 rue Pastourelle in Paris, from December 13 to 15, 2024.
