Two KEDGE graduates make your toilets more enchanting!
Two KEDGE graduates, Inès and Iodelle, are challenging the toilet paper industry by offering two eco-friendly and design alternatives to conventional paper with their Jhana brand toilet paper.

🎓 Graduates of KEDGE in 2014, these 2 long-time friends and roommates during their studies on the Marseille campus, embarked on this adventure in late 2019 based on a sad observation: the heavy environmental and health impact of the unavoidable white rolls :
- 🌳 Their manufacture accounts for 15% of global deforestation
- 💦 It takes 168L of water to manufacture a single roll
- ❌ Not to mention the various chemicals they may contain (chlorine for bleaching, dyes, perfumes etc)
But that's not all! Jhana was also born out of the need to slow down sometimes, to put things on pause.
💡 So the idea came to transform the little corner, the only place where you're sure to be alone, into a bubble outside time, allowing everyone to access a space of calm and well-being. Because every moment is precious, including time spent in the bathroom.

👉 The concept
That's why Jhana wants to re-enchant them with a complementary duo:
- 🚽 An attachable bidet that transforms toilets into Japanese toilets in a matter of minutes, without the need for holes or electricity. Compatible with the majority of standard toilets, this device is easy to install and considerably reduces toilet paper consumption (by at least 75%).
The use of the bidet therefore saves many resources, consuming just 0.6L of water per use.
In addition to its ecological benefits, washing with water is less irritating than paper, and is particularly recommended in cases of irritation, hemorrhoids or post-partum. As this Japanese toilet kit is easy to use, it is also an ally for people with reduced mobility.
- 🧻 1 00% FSC-certified (sustainably managed) Bamboo toilet paper for drying. Unbleached, chlorine-, dye- and fragrance-free, it respects our sensitive, permeable mucous membranes.
Another strong point of this product: it has no plastic packaging! Getting rid of this polluting waste (from manufacture to end-of-life) was a priority. The rolls are protected by a beautifully decorated bamboo fiber wrapping to bring a touch of color to your toilet.

🎋 Why bamboo?
💪Firstly, so as not to cut down any more trees, but also because this extraordinary grass renews itself very quickly (up to 1m per day), without fertilizer or pesticide. Its transformation into toilet paper requires 25 times less water to manufacture than a standard roll, despite its generous size: 240 sheets of 4 thicknesses (compared with 150 sheets of 2 thicknesses on average). Last but not least, this material makes for very soft paper, providing comfort and preventing irritation.
- In addition to the resource and energy savings achieved by these alternatives, the 2 young women wanted to go one step further
- All packaging is made from recycled cardboard
- Inks are vegetable-based , so everything is recyclable and compostable
- There's no single-use plastic packaging, including in the kit, as the bidet is protected in paper.
🌍 Jhana is a member of the 1% for the planet collective, which means that a portion of sales will be donated to environmental protection associations.

🤝 Supporting them
After more than 2 years' work, they only have until July 10 to bring their project to life and shake up an entire industry.
